L IS FOR LOIS X DESIGNER OUTLET BERLIN: LETS ROCK'N'ROLL

The Designer Outlet Berlin is celebrating its birthday with a birthday week full of surprises and style (think special offers, live concerts and more!). And in all things style, they asked Özi from Fashion Monger, Dustin from Shiggers On Street, Anni from Bildhübsch Blog and me for our expertise and to interpret and come up with a modern Rock'n'Roll party outfit in a blogger challenge for their birthday party. This is the look I created. I chose a marble print shift dress from Mango which I combined with not one but two statement belts, because you know, it's rock'n'roll to go against norms, held together in around my hips. The total gem of this outfit is this stunner of a jacket by True Religion covered with black studs.

THIS IS MY MAGIC HOUR

My Magic Hour.. I remember those daybreaks after long party nights with my friends. We're on our way home, as one of points  to the sky "wow look at that sky today!" before my eyes fall shut and I wake up in my bed hours later questioning how I manage to get there safe.

My golden hours as day turns to night are usually spent during summer, somewhere at the Krumme Lanke while laughing with my friends and we forget ourselves, before we notice it has suddenly been dark for more than hour. And we get ready to skinny dip. There's the moment of freedom and carelessness in that magic hour and the sky, God's painting, corresponds.

#REDFRIDAY WITH A NEW LIPSTICK AND LIPLINER FROM BENI DURER

What's the best thing about Fridays? Weekend. That's true. What's the best thing about this Friday for me? Unpacking a package (I LOVE UNPACKING!) with a new lipstick and matching lipliner from Beni Durrer. And since it's #redfriday - just the perfect excuse to wear red lips. I'm so in love with this new lipstick because it's rich in pigmenation which is super important for me because of my dark skin and you know unfortunately drugstore makeup does not do it for me. It's the right shade of red. Ad with the lipliner I've learned to achieve the perfect red lips, which I'm willing to share with you below.

I made an easy 3-step tutorial on how to achieve perfect red kissable lips just like I do it. (To be honest it's the first time I'm actually implementing this 3-step tutorial myself, I usually skip the lipliner part and go straight for the lipstick. But alas! I've conquered the smudgy-lipstick-edges-problem. EUREKA! Lipliner before lipstick FTW!)
So next Friday, when you go out, be sure to wear red lips!

DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS BEST FRIEND

The Diamond Tears by Monster are easily the most beautiful headphones on planet and I love mine to death which I got for my birthday end of last year. At this point, thank you again Monster! I don't leave the house without them anymore. As I said in my outfit post earlier, every time I'm out with them people keep staring at my ears. They're super fancy and a really really gorgeous set of headphones. I think the crystal colored ones (mine) are perfect for women. They also come in different colors as for example the black ones that will look good on men.
But what's more important is the sound quality that comes with them. Listening to my iPhone music feels like a whole new experience in comparison to my earphones before. Wow Apple earphones suck.. :/ I can easily listen to music on the highest volume without feeling deaf afterwards. What's even cooler is there is another hole where I can plug another set of earphones to mine, so I can listen to music with a friend.
I think the Diamond Tears are the perfect example of a great blend between quality and look; where technology meets design, as Noel Lee was going on about in his Keynote Speech during IFA.

I'M STILL SEXY WITHOUT QUESTION! GUESS JEANS + RED COAT

If I'm sexy without question lies in the eye of the beholder, but what I mean to say or the word that I'm missing in the title is feel. I still feel sexy without question and I think I won't ever get over how good these pair of jeans make me feel. Being sexy is all about an attitude and a feeling you perceive and the perception you give. It's not really about the clothes you were (or you're not wearing), it's about an inner feeling. And if that is your boyfriend's shirt, the little black dress or your backless top that makes you feel that way, so be it.
For me it's messy hair, red lips or these pair of great fitted jeans.

BEAUTY: LOOK - RED LIPS AND GOLD EYES FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

For Valentine's Day Kevin and I created an overall bronzy look and eye catching eyes with what's almost like a Must Do for the day of love: fire red lips. The center of attention of this look or better phrased - what makes this look work so well is highlighting, for which we used a bronze color by YSL and we also added a bit of the Zoeva blush that is rosy to give me that freshness and glow. We used the same bronzer on my eyelids, not only to match colors but also because it just really complements my skin tone. The eyelids were accentuated with a lighter bronze color from Topshop.

L IS FOR LOIS x GUESS: SEXY WITHOUT QUESTION

A pair of goof fitted jeans combined with a simple white tank top can make a woman look so sexy without question. It's the simplicity of it all and the power of a right fitted jeans. (And maybe a set of perfectly groomed eyebrows and bed head hair. A touch of red lips?)

I've already talked about Guess' latest campaign "Sexy Without Question - The Denim Diaries" and when I was approached to style my own Sexy Without Question Look and got to choose a pair of jeans from Guess I was really excited about how sexy they'd actually make me feel.

DIAMOND TEARS

One of the coolest presents I've ever gotten are the Monster Headphones Diamond Tears in crystal that Monster sent to me for my birthday with a sweet birthday note. Louisa and I had been admiring them nonstop in "girls room"(a section dedicated only to women's headphones) back at the IFA in September, so you can imagine how super happy I was when I unpacked those. Believe me, they are a dream. Sound quality is beyond and I don't leave the house without them anymore.

Everywhere I go people stare at my headphones. No wonder, it's not everyday a girl walks around with  huge ass diamonds on her ears.

The jumper I've been wearing almost daily now was a birthday present by my super duper friend Mallyn. It's been a while since I've seen her. Miss her! It's becoming colder and colder day by day and I'm starting to get into a chunky knits mood and overknee boots. I love my overknee boots and it's always a challenge to dress them up without looking like a slut but channeling the classy/effortlessly/chic vibe.

FOOT LOCKER SNEAKER MIX 2013

What happens when sneakers meet music and you add Foot Locker into the equation? That's right, you get a late night party with Stripers (=workers at Footlocker) dancing on the superdimensional deck, the world's first ever sneaker mixing deck (!), creating music with some sick beats, light shows and crazy visuals and an exclusive collection of sneakers that launched this spring/summer. Each pair of sneaker from the Foot Locker Sneaker Mix collection 2013, whether Converse Peelback, Nike Free Run +2 or Adidas Honey Hi as seen in the clip; they all come with a different sound, different visual and different beat that allows sneaker fans to create some cool mixes when interacting with the deck.

NEO PANTS CHALLENGE

Here are the pictures of my latest collaboration with Adidas NEO and it's part of the NEO Pants Challenge. Together with Laura from The Limits of Control I represent Berlin Team Blue. Our task was to style a blue trousers from the A/W collection (yes that's the collection we shot in L.A.) and go out to the streets and shoot our style. We ended up at Warschauer Straße and had a great afternoon and fun shooting these pictures. I hope you can see this in the pictures and video as well. I was really happy to work with Laura because she's a really good friend of mine and I was lucky to be put in a team with her. Also we were really lucky with our team color. Being team blue meant I got to pick my favourite trousers I already adored back in L.A.
Keep your fingers crossed for us, because we want to go to the Adidas HQ!!

L.A. WITH ADIDAS NEO: THE A/W PANTS COLLECTION

I wanted to share some more pictures from my 2083483923090343 I took during the shoot in L.A. Adidas NEO has a wide range of colorful pants for this season. You'll be seeing more of the pants collection for my latest collaboration with Adidas NEO. I was assigned a team color and had to style up that trousers. And guess what? I got my favourite pants! As if they knew :D

L.A. WITH ADIDAS NEO: SUNSET MARQUIS

As if being called at every single lay-over just to make sure I was alright and being picked up by a driver  (same driver who picked me up and brought me back to the airport when it was time to say goodbye to L.A.)  in a Lincoln having my own party in the backseat with Kendrick Lamar playing at full blast (my driver was the best!!) wasn't already cute enough, I was allowed to call the beautiful Sunset Marquis my home for 3 days. It was all very overwhelming and quite fascinating for me. Sunset Marquis is a beautiful place to stay at. It's right in the center of West Hollywood. A walk away from La Cienega :D

L.A. WITH ADIDAS NEO: A DAY ON SET

Ok so when I came home from my Abifahrt I got a mail from Adidas Neo saying I won the Neo Style Challenge. My reaction: Hold on so this was an actual competition? With a prize. And I won? Wait.. did somebody say L.A.?? NOWAY!
What did I miss? When I first got to mail to participate in the Neo challenge I thought, "Why not?". I already had a clear idea of what I wanted to do before I even knew what the clothes looked like that I was going to style, plus it sounded like a fun project. I honestly thought that being a "stylist for a day" was their fancy way of terming me styling my friends. That was me being a "stylist for day", right? Somehow I missed this was an actual competition with the price being 3 days in L.A. assisting styling the new Adidas NEO campaign. You can imagine how surprised and happy I was!

I'M WEARING CROCS.. NO SHIT!

When I came home with a box that read Crocs, my brother looked at me with a face pretty much saying "Oh heeeelll no! Heeeeeellllll naaaaaa! Uh uh. You ain't bringin some motherf*ckin Crocs into the house. Girl you mad??"
I don't blame him.

L IS FOR LOIS FOR MANATTAN - WIN MY ME AND MY MANHATTAN BERLIN FASHION WEEK LOOK (CLOSED)

As you may know for Fashion Week Manhattan opened a Pop Up Store in Berlin and for that occasion I collaborated with Manhattan to create my ME AND MANHATTAN: Berlin Fashion Week Look. My fashion week outfits were all very colorful. Inspired by my make up look from Day 2 I decided I wanted a look that kind of summed up my fashion week looks and go for something similar: something colorful with the attention on the eyes matching to my outfit.
It's definitely not an everyday make up look, which makes it so special. And I couldn't be more happy with the outcome.

ADIDAS NEO STYLE CHALLENGE

Hey Guys,

I'm happy to show you the pictures of my collaboration with Adidas Neo: the Adidas Neo Style Challenge. I had the pleasure to participate and my task was to style myself and 3 of my friends for Adidas Neo. For this I was sent 4 pieces. First I was a little unsure of what exactly I wanted to do and what kind of looks to create because there is so much you can come up with. But I wanted to keep the Adidas Neo spirit and my looks and pictures in style of Adidas Neo, fun, quirky, young and in a way also incorporate their personal styles which is why I let them wear pieces from their own closets to finalize their looks.

Yesterday we met up to take the pictures. On top of roof top near Gleisdreieck, while listening to J.Cole and none stop laughing, Charlotte photographed us. It was so much fun! Also I just realized you've never really seen my 'real life' friends (read: none blogging) on my blog. So here they are! Some of them at least.

Looking to satisfy my snapback and Nike Blazer addiction and the inner hip hop swagger chick hood bitch (not kidding I LOVE snapbacks and sneakers!) within me I turned to my regular sneaker online shops and finally Defshop because they usually offer their stuff at good prices. I have heard of Defshop before and occasionally browse the website when comparing prices for sneakers. But browsing through Defshop thoroughly for once, I realized they have much more to offer than just street wear, sneakers and snapbacks.

AN EXCLUSIVE STYLING SESSION WITH AMERICAN APPAREL S/S 2013

Hey Guys,

Finally found a little time to update you guys! There is so much still left unposted, but don't worry you'll get to see it. All of it! ;)
I had the pleasure to visit the American Apparel store for their exclusive styling session and peek at their upcoming Spring Summer 2013 collection that will be in stores soon. I went through the racks filled with clothes that had just made their journey all the way from L.A. to Berlin, tried on as much as I wanted, whilst my friend Louisa patiently waited skimming through magazines and enjoyed some drinks.
Haaah, I could get used to this!

Today it's my turn in the Brigitte Magazine Weihnachtsbloggerei Special and this is my contribution.

The Studded Gift Box


It's only 7 or 8 day until Christmas, depending on when you celebrate!! Ohh --emmm--geee! Most of you have probably been busily shopping. (Not me.) And presents need to be packed, but today we'll do it a bit differently. I found this cute gift box at Nanu Nana and thought, "Cute box, how handy for packing presents!" But since I'm really into studs at the moment, I wanted to give the box a little makeover, which resulted in the "Studded Gift Box".
It's a really easy DIY and sometimes less is more. Below the step by step how to.

Weihnachten steht vor der Tür und die meisten haben bereits fleißig Geschenke für Familie und Freunde gekauft. Und Geschenke müssen auch verpackt werden, aber heute wird mal anders verpackt. Diese süße Geschenkbox habe ich bei Nanu Nana entdeckt, und dachte mir “Hmm ist doch recht praktisch, um Geschenke einzupacken und sieht auch noch gut aus.” Aber da ich zur Zeit im Studs- Fieber bin, habe ich der kleinen Box ein Makeover verpasst.
