spring coat Lois Opoku lisforlois
What's good my blog fam?

God, what have we done to our earth with global warming? The weather has never been more bipolar than the last couple of weeks, going from hot to cold, sunshine to monsoon in matter of 24h hours.
You might want to consider adding a spring coat/ trench coat to your wardrobe this spring especially with this sad excuse of a weather. Combating a cloudy cold windy day has never looked more cute than in a trench or spring coat. But not a boring camel trench - don't get me wrong, a nicely cut camel trench coat is classic!
I stumbled upon this coat from River Island and I just had to get it. It's a little to heavy now for spring, but consider lighter option. The color and print just make it an eye catcher!
I spied some more cute options from Topshop.
Nisi also wore the cutest trench for spring in vichy print (girls take note! Plus it's on sale). They can be such a statement piece and the focal point of an outfit. Throw it over a pair of jeans and a simple T-Shirt and watch your look go from nothing to something.

Lois Opoku BENI DURRER beauty look lisforlois
Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've done a beauty post and I want to change things up a little here. I've had plans all year, but life forced me to put them on hold. Now I'm ready to continue. From now on I will be filling my beauty section, but I've divided it into parts. I will have "How To Wear" posts in which I highlight new collections/limited editions, full seasonal drops by a brand in a make up look. "Get The Look" will feature random products from PR Samples/gifts I've gotten I've thrown together into a look, "My Beauty Problems" will cover tackling my beauty problems (post hyperpigmentation, pimple outbreaks, dry skin etc.) and in "Beauty5" I will show you my fav beauty products from a special category I'd like to highlight.
That being said, here is my first "How To Wear" post featuring summer 2016 product range by Beni Durrer! Hope you enjoy it.

Suede skirt Streetstyle lisforlois
I cannot deal with Berlin's weather right now which is why I'm escaping to the last few of my summer looks that are still unpublished. This is one of the looks I wore to Bread&Butter. I mixed suede and tan with black lace up details and finished it of with gold jewelry. I've been loving my jewelry from Stella&Dot which I've been wearing to every outfit in different combinations, which is why it's all the more annoying that my favorite pieces are left to dust on his shelf right on top of his bed knowing I'll never see it again.. *eye roll*
Good thing material things can be replaced.. another emotional bruise from meeting him is so not worth it. If he were to man up, he'd send them to me instead of using them as a cheap excuse to force me or worse blackmail me into seeing him again.

Anyway, can we have summer back please?! Who even enjoys freezing winter..?

Lois Opoku Streetstyle lisforlois
What's up guys?
Just wanted to show you my final look for Fashion Week. I've got to be honest, I'm feeling completely demotivated penning this post. I do not know what words, what topic, what message, to choose to accompany this post. In fact I should just leave this text field empty. But it would be a mirror of the complete opposite of what's going on in my head.
Unclear. Unfocused. Uncontrolled.
Ironically this post seems unclear, unfocused, uncontrolled..

I think I've never been in such a confused state of mind. Emotionally, mentally.

Mein Leben steht am Rande des Umbruchs, wie der Cursor am Ende einer Zeile.

I'm listening to Xavier Naidoo's greatest hits right now (if you don't speak German - imagine the most sentimental life will go on, you're not alone, I love you more than words can describe - love and motivation songs wrapped in the most eloquent words one can imagine accompanied by the most beautiful harmonies and melodies..) Yeah that's me right now.. I'm also wearing sweatpants. King Karl would infamously say I've lost complete control of my life. I think he is right.

You probably just clicked this post because you're interested in what I'm wearing...
Scroll down.

Lois Opoku fashion Week Streetstyle Grey Coat Leather culottes lisforlois
This is by far my favorite look of this season's Fashion Week. I wore it on the last day, so yeah technically this is day 4, but my following fashion week posts are in no particular order which is why I'm just going to be labeling as they come to keep things in order here on the blog.

As I said this was my favorite look, mainly because I got to wear this stunning jacket by designer VANESSAMORIN. I stumbled across her label through my homie Jean-Claude's Instagram and immediately fell in love with some of her key pieces. We got in contact and she allowed me to style this piece to fashion week. It was perfect for layering while still being the center of attention of the entire look. VANESSAMORIN is a Munich based Designer and manufactures her pieces in Europe. She even worked for Parisian fashion house Damir Doma after design school, but her label itself is what I would call clean and contemporary, casual yet luxurious.  "A woman wearing VANESSAMORIN appreciates and never loses the lightness of being."
Go check out her amazing label. I'm keeping an eye out for her as I can't wait to see how her label will evolve over the next years.

Lois Opoku fashion Week Streetstyle Winter lisforlois
Fashion has come and gone in what seemed like a blur! I pretty much did all the shows with my partner in crime Phillip who helped me take all the pictures this season and I was part of the Blogger Apartment project (more on that later!).
Brace yourself for a few fun posts from Fashion Week. This time I hardly attended any events and I pretty much bailed on all parties. Shocker! I know right? But I had a lot of fun peeking behind the scenes and being able to get a lot of backstage access.
I was able to concentrate on the designers and their work rather than all the tata tata and heckmeck and fake glitz and glam around it. I selected a handful of designers I was really interested in seeing and a got a whole new perspective being able to watch from backstage as it all unfolded.
People still belittle Berlin Fashion Week. Yes, it's not Paris, nor London or anything close to New York.
But Berlin is Berlin and it has a few gems to offer.
Here is my first outfit. But brace yourself for more to come..

The ICONIC, the every-girl's-dream bag.
The level of sophistication and .
This is a vintage Chanel passed on to generation after generation. And over the years the respect and admiration for a Chanel only grows. I too want to pass on a Chanel to my daughters and their daughters. I want them to feel what it is like to grace yourself with a bag like this.
I suddenly feel especially lady like, empowered, exclusive and extraordinary.

It is amazing what one little bag embossed with a double C can make, how it can have such a strong hold and impact on you. How you suddenly carry yourself in the presence of that sign.
Chanel will always stay magical.
It is the embodiment of iconic.

Lois Opoku Mario Testino in your face vogue opening party berlin lisforlois
Mario Testino in your face vogue opening party berlin lisforlois
One of the most exciting invitations I got for Fashion Week was an invitation by Vogue. An invitation to the opening of Mario Testino's In Your Face exhibition.
One thing I want to do more: visit galleries, look at art and let it completely overcome me.
Standing there between Mario Testino's works I remembered the power of a room of art having over me, the hold on me it could have and the feeling it would leave me with for hours if not sometimes days after, from my a-level time (my main courses were art & english) as we'd visit galleries on the regular.
Mario Testino's In Your Face exhibition is a must look-at. For photography lovers, fashion lovers and anyone with an appreciation for moods captured in a pure moment.
And it left me craving again.
So here is one thing I want to do more often: visit galleries.

First thing about Primark's autumn/winter collection: it's great!
I was surprised how fashionable Primark has gotten and how it's keeping up to trend.
Primark is launching 5 collection coming up this autumn/winter with inspiration taken from street style but also bigger designers such as Chloé or Alexander McQueen.

After a very loooong bus ride we finally arrived at Schloss Beesenstadt for another edition of a Nokia Windows Phone event, one of the most fun events I've been to. This time it was time for Window Phone Mission Operation: Secret Castle.
I invited Lisa to come along with me and we had major fun after a not so fun 3 hour bus trip and very delicious food. Once again we were handed a Windows Phone, our main tool, to complete challenges and riddles in order to save the internet. As awesome as we are we managed to unlock the password and save the world. After all what would we all be without internet today? ;)

Found this shot of Carina and me at the Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards on AEDT. I love it. This was the first event I took her too. It’s amazing when I think about that we actually know each other from childhood birthday parties of my kindergarden best friend. Back then I would have never thought we’d see each other again, let alone think that one day we’d become good friends and through blogging of all things, meet again, bond and experience an entire fashion week together. <3

And L still is for Lois. It's been about a year,  probably a bit over a year, all I remember is that I started this crazy ride into the blogger world last winter. And I don't regret doing so. As of now? I'd like to take you through a flash back: One year L is for LOIS.

LesMads Book presentation. Meet Desi and Nisi, I cannot repeat often enough how thankful I am for them welcoming me so warmly into the blogger world! Plus I met Chi <3 Won tickets to the Burlesque Preview Screening and visited the American Apparel Fashion Week Shopping event.

Reminisced about Berlin Fashion Week that took place in January, dreamed about going one day. Won tickets to the No Strings Attached preview screening.

Won tickets to the I am Number Four Premiere (loved it, watch it!). Alex Pettyfer did not show up. Won nail polish. I win too much shit on the internet or anywhere else, it's almost ridiculous xD Pillow Fight Flashmob. This is the shit! <3 Wore faux fur casually and fell in love with my norwegian print pullover at my friends apartment. Mango Stylenight with lovely Andy from Stylescrapbook. What do you think of my DIY wrap skirt?

I was hospitalized one week for a tonsil operation, but you guys were amazing support. Received an invitation to the Range Rover Evoque Awards because of a post I wrote about Berlin in which I shared some hotspots. Fell in love with neon, especially neon polish! One look of mine, again it's about casual faux fur.

Evoque Style Awards. The night of two parties. I was invited to the Mango Shop Opening and the Evoque Style Awards. My mission? Make two events in one night! Sadly I failed. Got hung up on the Evoque Show but it was an amazing night, so I can't complain.

Found neon polishes in a market in Florence. Unbelievable for someone living in Berlin, but true I visited the Karnival der Kulturen for the first time and it was great. Culture flash <3 Outfit.

Premium Young Designer Awards. Met Jasmin. Got snapped by Jason. Scotch and Soda Opening. Sleep is commercial. My very first fashion week ever. Random pictures and my outfits from FW. Premium. Millions of new faces! Frontrow. Was featured in cracker magazine and various online magazines (Amica, Jolie) :D And nearly committed suicide when I found out that my baby Chico was in town and I missed him. (JK I wasn't about to. But I feel I need a little drama right here.)

Holiday in Verona. Kauf dich Glücklich and Sky Swap Market with Nadine <3 Bershka Opening. Chi and me at the Hallhuber event. Finally those Zara Shoes; it's a hate-love relationship. My best friends birthday - my outfit.

Gina Tricot Opening. Must have been the craziest opening in my life! :D Easy peasy outfit. Another Mango Stylenight.

It was still so warm I could chill in hot pants. Turned 18. Met Maria Mena. Miosato Blogger meet Designers event. Patrick Mohr event. Like a total douche bag I missed the Press Days. Halloween.

Waldstore presents Zeitgeschmack. Onepiece Opening. Smirnhoff Live Exchange Party. I was pretty much chilling with Dustin, Josie and Jan on every party^^. Wiz Khalifa concert. So dope!! One more look. Showed you my very last summer outfit (in the middle of winter! I know I'm crazy).

Crazy story on how I got my first book about fashion. H&M Dragon Tattoo Premiere. Met new amazing girls at the ChickChicClub event and finally managed how to attend to events in one night by going to the Windows 7.5 Hotel afterwards (pictures coming :D). Had a blast with yet another bunch of new girls at the Fashion5 event (post coming!!). New hairstyle for a new year :)

Even if I didn't realize it then, as it was happening: The year was crazy. Going through my archive was like mentally reliving the story of my life.
It's crazy how my blog has been shaped by the events I attend rather than by my everyday style. It's amazing how much I was allowed to experience solely because of this little blog of mine. And I thank you guys for that, because I enjoy every minute of it.
For this year 2012 I want to write more outfit posts and enjoy just as much events as I could in 2011.
And I'm planning on taking you guys with me on my journey!
Thank you so much.
You rock!
